We are a small family owned business in Denver, Colorado.

Our goals are simple:

Pogamat was originally developed in 2013 as a solution to doing P90X at home. The choice at the time was a standard size yoga mat that was small, thin, offered no real support, and was not good for wearing shoes.  I was tearing through yoga mats and the living room was starting to smell like a locker room.

Pogamat is developed to be the perfect surface for any workout!  We searched the world for the best material that could be used for a variety of exercises and training programs (like all forms of yoga, P90X, Insanity, T25, weight training, at home workouts, etc.) In short, we wanted a quality workout mat that could take a beating and withstand the most intense workouts, yet also be slip resistant, durable, and have enough give to protect your wrists, elbows, hips, and knees.

I had a lot of requirements for an exercise mat. At the time, there was one option on Google that was wider than two feet so I ordered the mat. It was a 6’ x 6’ square mat, was really thin, made of rubber that had an odor, and just as hard as the floor.

What I wanted in 2013 didn’t exist on Google.

Besides the one mat I returned, there wasn’t another option to buy.  Pogamat was developed to be the first oversize exercise mat, great for any workout, with or without shoes. It’s tough enough for the most intense workouts and feels good on your body. The mat always lays flat and it’s great for any workout on any surface.

We have a variety of different sizes and now our largest size is 12 feet x 6 feet.
